EOAGH publishes contemporary writing and criticism that is innovative or experimental. We seek writing that engages with trans, feminist, or queer issues in formally inventive ways, as well as writing by trans, female, feminist, or queer writers in which identity is not the central defining issue. We publish books as well as a yearly journal.

EOAGH: A Journal of the Arts is concerned with reading as a process, the productive chaos of investigative poetic work. These acts of attention explore the close listening inherent not just in writing but also in being written. We see readings as embodied, interdisciplinary responses that celebrate multiplicity, density, and difficulty.

Wanted: poetry, prose, articles, and readings that address these concerns in contemporary avant-garde, experimental, and innovative writing. Essays and articles (especially on poetics), as well as reviews. Email submissions are encouraged. To submit articles, criticism, or reviews, send texts of any length. To submit poetry for consideration, send up to 5 pages. Chapbook submissions should be 20 pages or less. Book manuscripts (of poetry or criticism–we consider both) may be any length.

Current Calls for Submissions:

1) Open Submissions (Ongoing & Open to all…see above)

2) Trans Women Across Genres: A special issue of EOAGH dedicated to the creative writing of trans women.
